Last September one half of The Cool Kids, Mikey Rocks or Sir Michael Rocks went on his lonely releasing his second mixtape Premier Politics, a decent yet flawed offering. During the recording process of that free-lease, an excess amount of songs were made in order for one tape, and remained unreleased - up until now, as he newest member of the Jet Life Recordings family aka the 'Top Notch Nautica Nice Guy' serves up those songs in the form of Premier Politics 1.5.

Curren$y’s new Jet Life compilation - the Jet World Order album was always going to be a smash. Released under Jets International/iHipHop Distribution, the album features fellow Jet members Young Roddy, Trademark Da Skydiver, Sir Michael Rocks, Nesby Phips, Corner Boy P and Street Wiz, plus Smoke Dza who definitely made his mark on hip hop this year with mixtape Rolling Stoned.

Even though the current fashion of tight jeans and colourful attire has led to much verbal castration of rappers, one duo which have been spared much onslaught are the Cool Kids. Chuck Inglish and the newly named Sir Michael Rocks have instead won more respect for their ode to 1980s Hip Hop, fashion and more. But as Sir Rocks now looks to temporarily offer up something as a lone act, can the Chicago young gunner establish himself as a successful act without his musical partner and more importantly – will Premier Politics, his solo offering, manage to deter the “haters” who are out to stone all the fashion savvy hipsters like himself who pick up a microphone?
