The nominees for the 16th annual MOBO Awards were announced with team UK leading the way, and we brought you the full details of the ceremony which will be co-hosted by Jason Derulo and is set to feature a special performance from Boyz II Men – get the full story here.
We also brought you the news of super producer No I.D.’s new position of Executive producer at the legendary Def Jam Records and gave you our review of the eagerly anticipated The Carter IV by Lil Wayne, plus Game‘s The R.E.D. Album | Album Review.
In other news, Mavado announced his signing to DJ Khaled‘s We The Best Music Group and dropped off some new music in the form of Ne-Yo collaboration “I Know You Want Me” and “Emergency” featuring Ace Hood.

A mix of new music came last week, including a track from Swizz Beatz’s upcoming Haute Living project by Chris Brown entitled “Trumpet Lights” and the first single from the new line up of Boyz II Men featuring Charlie Wilson called “More Than You’ll Ever Know” hit the web.
We brought you freeness from Terius Nash better known as The-Dream‘ and his new project entitled 1977, Stacy Barthe’s free debut EP called Sincerely Yours, Stacy Barthe which features the Frank Ocean penned “Thinking About You” and you revisited J. Period and DJ Spinna second instalment of their Man Or The Music mixtape tribute series.

Live on stage in Toronto, J. Cole premièred “God’s Gift” from his forthcoming debut solo album Cole World: The Sideline Story – see the full track list from the highly anticipated album here.
We also brought you footage from Kanye West and his new signee D’Banj at their KOKO concert, a video from his SOB’s showcase Kendrick Lamar unveiled a remix of “Rigamortus” featuring the legendary Brooklyn Busta Rhymes and an interview piece with Ms Erykah Badu sharing her insights and thoughts on art, her forever evolving creative process an more, courtesy of Visions Of Visionaries by MADE.
Official music videos came from G.O.O.D Music signed Clipse member Pusha T with “Feeling Myself” featuring R&B singer Kevin Cossom, and for the Rick Ross featuring anthem from Meek Mill “I’ma Boss.” Talib Kweli and Jean Grae also dropped in with an extended clip for “Uh Oh”, and we got a peek of Nas behind the scenes of “Nasty.”
