The founder of the innovative brand Bathing Ape and respected creative director, Nigo, will soon be releasing a book chronicling his favourite items during his 20-year career with the company. The book will simply be called Bape Archives by Nigo and will contain a personal selection of favourites dating back to when the label first started.

Set for release on April 1st, 2012, the book will be the second released by the brand, following the 2008 release of A Bathing Ape, which marked their 15-year anniversary.

Nigo describes Bape Archives by Nigo as being the ‘B-side’ to the first book; “In 2008 Rizzoli (New York) published the official archive book “A BATHING APE®”. If that book is the “A Side”; this “BAPE®ARCHIVES by NIGO®”, whose contents have been selected by me from my perspective as both a maker and a collector, is the “B Side” – a personal, underground archive.”
