Tech N9ne - "Dwamn" | Music Video

Tech N9ne - Dwamn

Tech N9ne released a new music video for "Dwamn," off his latest album, Something Else.

Being the head of the party is not an easy task but somebody has to do it. Tech N9ne is that man in the latest visual off Something Else. "Dawmn," a combination of "damn" and "wow," describes the what you may say when you do a double take after a good looking lady walks by. Trust me, he uses it a lot in the song but you can see why when you watch the clip.

Click play to watch the video for the Seven-produced track and make sure you go cop his album on iTunes.

Tech N9ne f/ Liz Suwandi, Tyler Lyon - "Love 2 Dislike Me" | Music Video

Screen Shot 2013-08-30 at 21.28.11

We've been in possession of Tech N9ne's latest release Something Else for about a month now and after the record peaking at Number 4 on the charts, it's settling quite nicely.

However, don't relax just yet for Tech returns in his usual boisterous manner with a chained up Liz Suwandi and a warehouse full of relationship battle cries. "Love 2 Hate Me" sees Tech joined by Tyler Lyon for a heavy metal infused tale of a tiring relationship. This is all while Tech masquerades around in a schizophrenic frenzy like something out of a Stephen King adaptation. Read more

Tech N9ne f/ Serj Tankian – "Straight Out The Gate" | Music Video

techn9ne
Indie Hip-Hop king Tech N9ne released his thirteenth full length studio album Something Else this week after dropping a slew of tracks via his own Strange Music label.
A few days after its release, the Kansas City, Mo. rapper delivers a video for the album's opening track featuring System of The Down's lead vocalist Serji Tankian.

The visual for "Straight Out The Gate" is equally thought provoking, creepy and flat out weird, typical for a Tech N9ne video as shots of the MC and Tankian teaching (or preaching) to a group of adults wearing interesting looking masks.

Watch the video for "Straight Out The Gate" below.

Crooked I - Apex Predator | Album Stream

crooked-i-Apex-Predator-590x600

After 15 years of sharing rhymes, Crooked I finally releases his official debut studio album, Apex Predator.

Let me fill you in on a little Crooked I history, really quick. Back in the late '90s, Crook's album with 19th Street/Virgin Records was never released. Then in the 2000s, two projects for Death Row Records were recorded, Untouchable and Say Hi To The Bad Guy, those were also never released. Dun Dun Dunnnnn. While the Long Beach spitter has released a ton of freebies and mixtapes throughout the years and has recorded and released albums with Slaughterhouse, Apex Predator is still his first album and "truly independent." Tech N9ne feat. Danny Brown – "Thizzles" | New Music

Tech N9ne

Tech N9ne and Danny Brown come together to provide more molly-inspired, deviant rap in new track, "Thizzles."

Listen below as N9ne drops more double time rhymes littered with drug inspired punchlines and dark satire whilst the Motor City hailing Brown's animated flow bounces over the Young Fyre produced cut. The topic of MDMA has already been exhausted in Hip Hop, but N9ne and Brown's tongue in cheek effort is a more satisfactory affair in comparison to other, lazily executed tracks. Read more

Tech N9ne ft. Kendrick Lamar, ¡MAYDAY! & Kendall Morgan - "Fragile" | New Music

tech n9ne

Tech N9ne is in good company on his single, "Fragile," featuring West Coast star Kendrick Lamar, Strange Music label-mate ¡MAYDAY! and Nashville singer Kendall Morgan.

"Fragile" was one of the most anticipated tracks on Tech's upcoming album, Something Else, and definitely lived up to its hype. Produced by ¡MAYDAY! with Ralfy “FAFA” Valencia and Danny “Keys” Perez, Kendrick and Tech hulk up the track with two lyrically-strong verses.

Tech's upcoming 13th studio album, Something Else, will include guest appearances from B.o.B, Big K.R.I.T., Cee Lo Green, The Doors, Game, Kendrick Lamar, Serj Tankian, T-Pain, Trae tha Truth and Wiz Khalifa. Look for it July 30 or pre-order the album now on iTunes.

Tech N9ne on indie success: "Majors would have to offer a lot for our blood, sweat and tears"

tech n9ne

Independence is something highly celebrated by many in the music industry today. While independent labels have been around for years and years, it wasn’t until the decline in music sales that indie labels then became the best way to get your music heard.

In hip-hop, labels such as Amalgam Digital and Koch, now known as E1 Entertainment, are two of the biggest names in the indie market, and then there was of course Rawkus Records once upon a time, who introduced the world to acts such as Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, and a certain white boy by the name of Eminem.

There’s one label name missing though; and while they might not be a household name quite yet they are in fact one of the most successful indie labels on the planet; Strange Music.

With partner Travis O’Guin, Kansas City rhymer Tech N9ne started Strange Music in 1999. Since its launch the label has had big successes in the form of multiple album releases, sold out tours, and one of the biggest selections of music merchandise any label has to offer.

Taking time out from his busy European tour schedule, Tech N9ne sat down with Soul Culture at his first ever UK show to discuss independent sales, Kendrick Lamar, and battling with his dark side. Read more
