Liverpool hailing rising singer and songwriter KOF recently celebrated the release of his debut EP by throwing a small thank you gig at The Paradise in West London, for an intimate crowd of friends and supporters.
Building on the buzz generated over the past 12 months, with three singles that have gained him impressive recognition from the mainstream radio over here and being coined as ‘One To Watch’ in CNN stateside, Liverpool hailing musician KOF is due to drop An Alternative Soul; a seven-track EP is described as soul music infused with various genres, ranging from Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, D&B, Dubstep, Garage and even Folk.
No stranger to the music scene, this young Liverpudlian first generated a buzz under the alias of Young Kof with a sound that combined house and electro. Having performing at Glastonbury on the BBC Introducing Stage in 2009 and collaborated with the Godfather of Grime Wiley in 2010 on his debut track "Fire It Up," the singer now simply going by Kof has built up a solid name for himself on the UK underground scene.
After a few months break and a change of venue, live music night Soul-D-Out UK returned on Friday November 11 at the Blag Club in Kensal Rise, West London. Although Frank Ocean and J Cole were both in town on the same night, the intimate venue provided the new home for the return of Soul-D-Out Live; hosted by D'Nyce of the legendary Rampage Crew with soulful R&B and Hip Hop provided by DJs Martin 'Liberty' Larner, Chuckie and Butch Kassidy.
