Marsha Ambrosius speaks on why Floetry split, her deal with Aftermath & working with MJ

In a revealing interview with SoulCulture, Marsha Ambrosius finally speaks publicly on the reasons that British soul duo Floetry broke up, the possibility of a reunion one day, why it’s taking so long for her solo album to come out – and how she got to work with Michael Jackson after he heard her self-penned song, “Butterflies.” Watch the vid.

    I was hoping to learn something new about her, everyone knows why they broke up. I really wanted to hear more about her musical influences, her collaborations etc

    Still, is nice to hear her speak finally, I guess

    Thanks for the interview, there has been much speculation as to why Floetry split, and although Marsha didn’t give away details it’s good to hear it from her. I, along with everyone else, am awaiting her debut LP … her words on when to expect it were few and the news that she is signed to Aftermath as a producer/songwriter rather than an artist dosn’t fill me with hope (however, fingers crossed!).

    I can’t be the only one gutted that the chances of the duo reuniting are slim to none … Floetry were (and still are) one of my all time favourites and my biggest regret was not catching them live.
