Iconic music producer Berry Gordy has launched an audition site to find a young actor to portray a child-aged Michael Jackson in the upcoming Broadway play Motown: The Musical. The actor chosen will also play a young Stevie Wonder and a pre-teen Gordy.

“I’m not looking for imitators. What I’m looking for are people who are smart and can be themselves in the role,” Gordy explains. Gordy founded Motown Records in the late 1950s, and signed The Jackson 5 in 1968. “He has to be extremely talented, plus he has to give me the same chills that I got when I saw Michael Jackson in the first place.”

According to the site, the ideal talent is aged 8-11 and must “have a phenomenal high tenor singing voice, have rhythm and can move and sound like Michael Jackson in his Jackson 5 days.” Those interested should videotape themselves singing one of the songs listed on the site, upload it to YouTube and submit the link through the online form.
