In his quest to be more than just another rapper, T.I. continues to add to steadily diversifying portfolio with his sophomore novel Trouble & Triumph: A Novel of Power & Beauty, the sequel to last year’s Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets.

A collaboration with author David Ritz, Tip’s debut novel was a piece of street literature following the stories of characters Paul “Power” Clay and Tanya “Beauty” Long, two people who are led to each other via their parallel, troubled paths and desire to overcome dire circumstances.

The MC reconnects with Ritz for Trouble & Triumph, whose plot details are scant but definitely continues the saga of Power and Beauty.

The book is set to hit shelves on September 11, one week after his eighth album Trouble Man drops and eight days after season two of his popular reality show T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle premieres on VH1.

September should be a good month to be King of the South.
