South London spoken word poet Yomi Sode, known as G.R.E.Ed.S (Generating Rhymes to Enlighten Engaged Soul) fuses his signature spoken word style with indie, reggae, hip hop and soul beat patterns in his new EP, Ready. Following on from debut project ‘Volume in Silence’ back in 2009 which was a much darker offering, G.R.E.Ed.S says, “Ready is a transition from the dark to a more comfortable place.”

In this second offering he takes the spoken word format out of its comfort zone with a link up with live session band The Remedies. To commemorate the occasion the Ready EP launch takes place on December 3 from 7pm til late at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, hosted by Dean Atta and Deanna Rodger with supporting performances by Joel Culpepper and Kal Lavelle.
