PMOI Live w/ Dego, Tanya Auclair & Eric Lau @ the C.A.M.P LDN Sept 15th | Event Preview


The good folk at the taste-maker site Put Me On It are kicking off the first in a special series of live events at the C.A.M.P. in Shoreditch this Thursday (15th September 2011) and will be launching with a very rare and special live show from Dego (4Hero/ 2000 Black) performing his recently released album A Wha' Him Deh Pon? with a live band, featuring a host of London's finest musical talent.

Additional entertainment will be provided by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tanya Auclair with Eric Lau on the decks holding it down like badman with an original selection of goodness until 1am.

To top it all off Sri McKinnon will be launching her new exhibition "Mindscapes" (upstairs), Mrs Mck's Pudding Club from Relay Tea Room will be selling the most delicious selection of cakes and treats you've ever seen, and United 80 will have a musical pop up shop!

Make sure you get your asses there early, it's going to be a roadblock.

Eric Lau - "This Is For You" | New Music: Free Download


New music from London producer Eris Lau is always welcome over there, the latest being an instrumental gift titled "This Is For You" sampling a track by jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal, paired with an explanatory video detailing his sampling technique.

"I just have listening sessions," he says of his sound-digging method, taking the viewer through his process of separating the song's elements and bringing them together, making it look relatively easy... I'll leave him to it and enjoy the outcome: take a listen below and download for free.
