Billed as "a multi-cultural awards show from an African American point of view," the 42nd NAACP Image Awards nominees have been announced for this year's ceremony, set for live broadcast on Friday, March 4th via FOX - read on for the full list. Celebrating "the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts (television, recording, literature, motion picture and writing & directing), as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors," the winners are voted in by members of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) announced at the annual ceremony, usually held in Los Angeles.
