International Dancehall artist Konshens is spearheading a book drive for Kololo Senior Secondary School in Uganda, Africa to help equip the students with tools to further their education.
Teaming with the Career Imagination Program (CIP), which helps to bridge the gap between education and the employment structure in Africa, the “Gyal Ah Bubble” singer will be presenting the collected materials in August to the high school.
“Its always good to help out kids in any way possible and books are very important in life not just in school. Knowledge is power and the ability to read is very important. I make a living off words so I know what I’m talking about,” says Konshens.
All text books, story books, pencils, crayons, dictionaries and pens are accepted. The book drive will end on July 10th. Supplies can be sent to: P.O.Box732 New York, NY 10008
