The Cool Kids – “Champions” | Music Video

Better late than never right? With that being said hip-hop duo The Cool Kids have unveiled the previously unreleased video for their three-year-old track “Champions”.

Featured on their 2009 Gone Fishing album, this cool joint from Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck Inglish had it’s video filmed and ready to go, but for unknown reasons it remained on the shelf until now. Directed by GL Joe and HYSTK, “Champions” encompasses the fun and laid-back attitude of The Cool Kids.

The amusing visual also serves as a reminder of The Cool Kids in their prime, as Sir Michael Rocks recently revealed that he and Chuck Inglish will no longer be recording any albums together under their joint moniker.

Speaking to AHH, the rapper explained that he and Chuck have now outgrown The Cool Kids life…

He said: “I don’t think we’re gonna come out again as The Cool Kids. We might come together as something else different, but as The Cool Kids, no, because we’re not the same people, we’ve changed and evolved into two different artists. We can’t come back and do the same thing again, you know?

“We’ll probably do something else, but as The Cool Kids and as Shark Week, no, those ideas are done, and we’re on to something different now. I wouldn’t do that; I think that would be a step backwards to go back and do that right now, so as far as I know for now, no I wouldn’t see us doing another Cool Kids project as “The Cool Kids”.”
