T-Pain to sue Auto-Tune maker Antares | Music News

Oh, the irony! T-Pain is to sue the very company that he used to gain his “distinctive” sound.

Teddy Pizzle used to endorse Auto-Tune making audio company Antares’ products left, right and centre, however, he recently hooked up with another audio company, Izotope, to create “The T-Pain Effect,” which we told you all about a while back.
Subsequently, his relationship with Antares ended, but now, he’s filed a lawsuit in the States claiming “Antares continues to use his image and likeness in advertisements, packaging and marketing materials for Antares’ rival products.”

He is seeking $1 Million in damages in addition to all sales made by the “infringing” products.

Yeah, but, seriously though… Wasn’t his whole career built on Auto-Tune? What about the many millions he has earned in record sales as a result of using that God forsaken effect?
