SZA – “Sweet November” | New Music

There’s not long to go now until SZA‘s new EP Z debuts next week, and smoothly boosting anticipation a delicious new song surfaces from the New Jersey residing TDE songstress.

“Sweet November” is a classy concoction to swoon over, drawing on the sounds of ’70s soul for its dreamy soundbed as SZA huskily coos “Remember me for who I was, not who I am…” over the lush instrumentation of Marvin Gaye‘s “Mandota” [and crediting the late soul icon as ‘producer’].

Following SZA’s S EP which was released for free in April last year, Z is the second project to come of a promised trilogy and among its 10 tracks feature guest verses from labelmates Isaiah Rashad [on “Warm Winds”] and Kendrick Lamar [“Babylon“] plus her recently unveiled Chance The Rapper collaboration, “Childs Play.”

Set for release on April 8th through TDE, if you pre-order Z on iTunes you’ll get “Sweet November” now along with the Felix Snow-produced “Julia.” Press play and check out the official tracklist below.
