Save Plastic People: The Petition

Alex Nut of Eglo Records sent over the following email on the weekend, which succinctly covers the unfortunate prospects of closure currently faced by East London cultural landmark, underground club Plastic People.

Hailed by Nut as one the first places in the UK to have given opportunity to the likes of J Dilla, Hudson Mohawke, Skream, DMZ, Three Chairs, Benji B and Kode 9, the club is home to regular club nights FWD, Theo Parrish, Co-Op, Lost, Medium, Eglo, Nonsense, Gullyver and CDR.

“Our favorite East London music venue – Plastic People – is facing potential closure by the Police, who are putting forward a case to the council in favor of closing the legendary night club.

We would appreciate if you could take a minute to sign the petition.

All info and details of how to help can be found HERE.

If you’ve been to Plastic People you will know why it is so special. If you haven’t, help keep it open so you to can experience one of the greatest sound systems and most superb atmospheres on this planet.”
