Sango – “Nujabes Juke” | New Music

Ahead of the release of his highly-anticipated LP North, Seattle beatmaker Sango has dropped off another gem to hold fans over. Whereas his last song “Vem Vem” was a Brazilian baille funk remix of Kendrick’s G.K.M.C. anthem “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Nujabes Juke” takes inspiration from the late, great Japanese producer Nujabes, sampling “Shika no Uta”, one of my favourite songs of his from the Samurai Champloo anime soundtrack.

Sango twists the sample from the laidback song nicely, resulting in an upbeat Chicago juke-influenced track worthy of a spot on your playlist. Look out for the North LP soon, and while you’re at it check out the 4-disc Samurai Champloo soundtrack if you get a chance, it’s one of the best Hip-Hop OST’s ever created. Seriously.

Check out the track below, and as a bonus you can watch the altered Soul Train video for the song beneath it. If you want to download the track simply like Soulection on Facebook via this link .
