Russell Simmons, Maxwell, Rick Ross and more raise money at Art For Life Gala

Russell Simmons and the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation hosted the 14th annual Art For Life: Field of Dreams Gala on Saturday, which brought out high-profile collaborators and raised a ton of money.

Out in the gorgeous playground named Fairview Farms in Bridgehampton, Anthony Anderson, Melanie Fiona, Al Sharpton, Tichina Arnold, Star Jones, Angela Simmons, Michael Strahan, Nicole Murphy, journalist Soledad O’Brien, who co-hosted the event, and more rich and famous friends were out supporting a good cause. Thanks to everyone who participated in the event, RPAF, which helps inner city youth engage in art education, raised over $1.5 million. Guests were provided with delicious dinners, along with live performances from Maxwell, Estelle and Rick Ross.

Simmons is also hosting an online silent auction via Charitybuzz (going on until August 7). So in case you’re looking for a tax write off and help the world at the same time, check out my recommendations below.

– Private dinner for 10 with Russell Simmons prepared by Chef Todd English at Your NYC home (current bid: $1,350)
