Rude Kid f/ Skepta – ‘Get Busy’ (Radio Rip) | New Music

Maybe I shoudn’t, but I absolutely love this record. Fresh from one of the UK’s finest producers, Rude Kid, this club-friendly monster debuted on Mistajam‘s BBC Radio 1Xtra show last week week. The track, due to be released on Relentless at the end of July, flits between throwback House-y euphoria and dark and grimy bassline-driven Dubstep and features a couple of short and sweet verses from Skepta (“forget what you heard on the grapevine // hate racism, love baseline” – gwan Skeppy). Love that female vocal throughout the song – one disgusting drop and 16-bars of unrelenting bass apart, this is a throwback record in the same mould as B Traits‘ “Fever.”

The video’s already been shot and is dropping on June 21st — based on the vibe of this track, I reckon it might be a lot of fun. It’s been getting support from the aforementioned Mistajam, as well as Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and 1Xtra’s DJ Target.
