Naughty Boy f/ Sam Smith – “La La La” | Music Video
Hear no evil. The UK is currently bursting at the seams with new talent oozing sophisticated, soulful, inspiring music. Among this creamy crop are homegrown producer Naughty Boy and singer Sam Smith, who join forces against the noisy, emotional pollution of angry naggers for their catchy but meaningful new hit, “La La La.”
Anticipation is building nicely for Naughty Boy’s debut album, Hotel Cabana, which is set for release later this Summer with a star-studded lineup of talented guest features including Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, Gabrielle, George The Poet and Emeli Sandé [who features on the project’s lead single “Wonder”].
With or without big names involved, I suspect he’d still have something special on his hands. “I want it to be an album for our time,” Naughty Boy explains. “It has a concept to it, so it’s more like a film in some respects… I view it like I’m not just a producer – I’m a director too.”
Shot in Bolivia by Ian Pons Jewell, the video for “La La La” puts a fresh twist on The Wizard of Oz with vivid imagery narrating the resilient soundtrack. Out on May 19th through Virgin Records, watch the official video below.
