Nardwuar vs. Metta World Peace [Video]

For his latest comedy clip, internet famous Nardwuar takes his unique interviewing methods outside of music to the NBA, where he caught up with notorious Los Angeles Lakers forward, Metta World Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest). The basketball player, infamous for his involvement in the “Malice in the Palace” brawl in 2004, was always going to provide some bizarre moments (after all, he actually had his name changed to Metta World Peace).

The two conversed over his Queensbridge roots and Old School hip-hop, fellow athlete-rappers, Canadian relations (“We just think of Canada as being above America, we know that. And just visions as a kid, maybe there was grass up there, I don’t know” Metta shared insightfully), sneaking into the locker room showers to give Kobe Bryant props (this is before they were team mates) and more.

NBA fans, Nardwuar’s got you.
