Mario announces February release date for Restoration album | Music News

R&B crooner Mario has been busy in the studio recording his upcoming album Restoration. After his previous album, D.N.A., failed to do well commercially, Mario is returning with a new sound, which fans will get a chance to check out on February 7, 2012, according to UrbanBridgez.

The LP will be released via RCA Records, and led by “The Walls” as the official first single from the Baltimore native. Featuring rapper Fabolous and written by Rico Love, the single is set to hit airwaves soon accompanied by an official video.

In last week’s segment of his new #MarioMonday viral series, where the singer posts behind-the-scenes videos of him in the studio, the “Let Me Love You” singer announced the album title and played select clips of new material.

On the new album, Mario says to expect something completely different from his latest project, D.N.A. “It’s gonna be totally different than D.N.A. Not typical R&B style but more like club songs,” Mario says about the new album.
