Mali Michael – “Wild Things” | Music Video
Emerging North London talent Mali Michael will have you both hooked and disturbed with the entrancing, bugged-out monochrome video for his captivating, longing single, “Wild Things.”
The song is about, “when you’ve got that itching feeling for someone. You already know them; you’re deep into them. You’ve just got to be with them, but there’s always two sides to it,” the 20 year-old ‘future soul’ singer, who cites Terence Trent D’Arby, Massive Attack and Prince as influences, recently told Interview mag.
You may recall Mali’s soulful voice from the rousing 2010 Chase & Status dance hit “Let You Go,” while his solo material so far is of a more stripped and sensual nature, with thoughtful, poetic lyrics easing across subtle rhythms and electronic basslines in soulful, undercooked tones.
Love this. Want more. Watch below – and sleep well tonight, eh?
