After letting fans know that he was cancelling the release of Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part 2> a few weeks ago, earlier today Lupe Fiasco tweeted then swiftly deleted the following message…
“Hello. #LF is happy to announce his album title for 2013. ‘TETSUO & YOUTH’ We Wish You Good Luck @ #TheGrammies Today. Thank You.”
Leaving fans wondering if that was a tweet in error of if he had infact revealed the new album title. Well moments ago on the red carpet at the 55th GRAMMY Awards, the Chicago hailing rapper and activist confirmed the title and gave a little insight into the reasons for the shelving of the F&L2:TGARA Pt 2 long player.

Tetsuo is a reference to the 80 Japanese cult cyber-punk classic Tetsuo: The Iron Man , so it will be interesting for geeks like myself to see how much of the movie’s themes are explored or referenced in the new LP.
