Lil B says he will make history by titling his new album ‘I’m Gay’

Last night at the 2011 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, California native Brandon McCartney better known as the internet rap sensation Lil B aka “The BasedGod” took to the stage to perform to a sea of spatula wielding fans (part time disciples).
Not only was his performance a talking point due to his..erm… unique performance style (which I personally describe as a cross between motivational speaking and a pastor preaching to a packed church) or the members of Odd Future crowd surfing to join him on stage, The BasedGod announced that he would make history in Hip Hop by calling his next album I’m Gay.

Now I’m personally not surprised nor do I care what he calls his albums, (I mean this is the same guy that has tracks titled “Ellen Degeneres”, “Wonton Soup”, the list goes on) But lets be honest here… how will Hip Hop react to the album? Is the rap community grown up enough to accept an album titled I’m Gay?

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Here are some visuals from Lil B’s Coachella performance. The rapper says title I’m Gay isn’t referring to sexuality “Gay means happy… I love women.”
