Joel Culpepper releases ‘SkyDive’ EP | New Music

Last month South London-resider Joel Culpepper hit us with his track, “Heaven,” whetting our palates for his forthcoming project – and now his SkyDive has arrived.

Bluesy, syncopated instrumentals join Culpepper’s soulful vocals on the six-track EP – his third release in succession to The Adventures of Pensmith and last year’s Joel Culpepper Meets J. Dilla mixtape – demonstrating his experimental boldness and refreshing ingenuity; effortlessly easing between spoken word deliverances and smoothly sung verses.
