Jay Z’s Roc Nation signs global music publishing deal with Warner/Chappel | Music News


Shawn Carter aka Jay Z‘s Roc Nation record label/management and entertainment company has entered into a global music publishing agreement with Warner Music Group’s Warner/Chappel. This deal covers Roc Nation’s entire music publishing repertoire, all future Jay Z albums as well as his back catalogue dated after 2008. A deal is also allegedly in the works to cover the mogul’s entire catalogue before the end of 2013.

The Brooklyn raised rapper and entrepreneur spoke on the deal and working with John Platt (the President of Warner/Chappel), stating “The real meaning of success is being in the position to work with an individual you consider a friend. Jon Platt is such a person. He’s a man of extraordinary character as well as a remarkably talented executive with an ear for music and an eye for talent. It’s great to watch him grow to be one the best in the business.”

John Platt also added delivered a statement on the new deal..
