J. Cole’s ‘Born Sinner’ tops US album charts | News

“I’mma drop the album the same day as Kanye/ Just to show the boy’s the man now like Wanyá” – J. Cole

It looks like J. Cole‘s decision to release his sophomore album Born Sinner on the same day as Kanye West has finally paid off as although the LP didn’t outsell Yeezus in the first week (although it was a tight race with Mr West shifting 328k against Cole’s 297k), the North Carolina hailing rapper outsold Yeezy in week two and this week with an estimated 55,000 units shifted, Born Sinner will take pole position this week, with Wale‘s The Gifted holding the number 2 spot with 48,000 units and at number 3 is Kanye West with 40,000 units shifted in its third week.

Salute to Cole and the whole Dreamville, Bystorm and Roc Nation team, the hard work paid off.
