Game f/ Kendrick Lamar x Scarface – “Murder” | New Music

Wow. With Jesus Piece due for release on Tuesday (December 11th), Game delivers No.7. in his #SundayService series, and what better way to prepare for a new album than to drop a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, one of the rap game’s great young hopes, and Scarface, one of its greatest elders?

The track, entitled “Murder“, will not appear on the forthcoming album due to sample clearances, but it’s nonetheless a continuation of Game’s recent run of form, as he gets elegiac over Mark Henry’s jazz-lounge beat discussing murder victims past and present. From Sam Cooke to Huey Newton, it’s a new kind of name-dropping for Jayceon, who refuses to be outshone by his guests, and it suits him well. Kendrick drops by merely for hook duty, but we get to hear a brand new verse from Scarface, whose OG Texan tones have been sorely missed at SoulCulture.

It’s fair to say anticipation is high for Jesus Piece now. Listen and download to “Murder” below, and scroll down for Game’s comments about the new track:
