Etta James retires with The Dreamer album | Music News

The legendary Etta James announces the release of her final studio album after a 50 year recording career, with The Dreamer. The Grammy Award winning legend, her many accolades including the Rock and Roll Hall, Rhythm and Blues and Rockabilly Halls Of Fame along with a Hollywood Star, releases her first new album in five years through Verve Forecast; an 11-track LP featuring Etta’s versions of the likes of Otis Redding‘s “Cigarettes and Coffee,” Ray Charles‘ “In The Evening” and Guns N’ Roses‘ “Welcome To The Jungle.”

“I wish to thank all my fans who have shown me love and support over all these years. I love you all,” says James.
