Elle Varner – “See Me Tonight” | New Music
Two years on from her Perfectly Imperfect debut, Elle Varner prepares to release her sophomore album, titled 4 Letter Word, with a series of teasers previewing new songs.
The latest to be unveiled, “See Me Tonight” addresses the emotional aftermath of a dishonest ‘snake in the sheets’, with Elle’s sultry vocals winding around the pacing production’s building beat and horn-filled drama. It’s a developed soundscape for the Los Angeles-born songstress, suggesting exciting things to come from 4 Letter Word.
“The album is a beautifully gut wrenching body of songs that I went to a very vulnerable place to create,” Elle says of her imminent new album, which will be released this summer and executive produced by Pop & Oak – the go-to duo who were also behind her Grammy-nominated Perfectly Imperfect single, “Refill.”
