Drake’s Take Care LP debuts at No. 5 on UK Albums Chart | Music News

Last week we reported that Young Money emcee Drizzy Drake’s highly anticipated Take Care LP was on course to sell between 675-725k copies in its first week of sale in the the U.S, thus making it a shoo-in to top America’s Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Take Care‘s success is not exclusive to the US and Canada, as it was recently announced that the Toronto hailing artist, whose first body of work was released almost six years ago, has shot in at number 5 on the Official UK Album‘s chart.

Drake’s sophomore LP debuting in the top 5 is a vast improvement on the performance of the Canadian’s debut long player, Thank Me Later, which a week after its release debuted in at number 15 in the UK.

I very much doubt that the UK Album chart is the only chart in Europe where  Take Care will debut somewhere in the top 10… and because of this, his previous success and genuine talent one can’t help but respect him. Love him or hate him… in 2012 he is going to be everywhere.
