Drake tells i-D: “I don’t know how long I necessarily want to make rap music for”

Known for expressing his love for the women of his past on his tracks, YMCMB’s very own Drake sits down with i-D magazine to get a few things out in the open. Discussing topics over a meal, the rapper talks about revealing his emotions about ex girlfriend Nebby on ‘Look What You’ve Done’ – taken from his last studio album Take Care.

Despite going their separate ways and not currently talking, the Canadian native still has feelings for the ex and goes on to talk about knowing when he’s in love. Moving swiftly towards the music side of things, the rapper discusses the success of his sophomore album and states that he is now on to the next one. “We’re sitting here talking about Take Care and how successful it’s been – but I could care less because I have another album to make…”

When asked about how long he intends to be rapping for, Drake states that he doesn’t really know how long he plans to do it for but will make as much music as he can. “I don’t know how long I necessarily want to make rap music for. You know, there are artists who are 35 and up that still make rap and that still works for them. I don’t know if I want to be that guy.

“Maybe I’ll be just acting or whatever it is. That’s really my plan. I plan to make as much music as I can until a story from Drake doesn’t impact you as it used to…”
