Chief Keef f/ 50 Cent & Wiz Khalifa – “Hate Bein’ Sober” | New Music

After much anticipation, poorly-attended video shoots and a leak sans Wiz yesterday, the full version of Chief Keef‘s “Hate Bein’ Sober” drops.

The wavy, Young Chop-produced track, which will appear on Keef’s upcoming Interscope debut Finally Rich, features 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa, and functions as a sort of cleaner, diluted version of the sound the Chi-Town rapper’s been running with on recent tracks like “Love Sosa” and “They Know“.

The hook is either catchy or irritating (depending on what you think of Keef’s croon), and the guest verses are decent enough, but to me this seems like a half-assed attempt to escape the love-hate feelings rap fans hold towards Keef  and capture the middle market with something vaguely Keefy and a little mainstream. As a fan of his previous tracks, I’m left indifferent.

Finally Rich drops December 17th. Pre-order it here and have a listen to “Hate Bein’ Sober” below:
