Brandy working w/ Timbaland, Chris Brown, Frank Ocean, possibly Drake on Two/Eleven album | Music News

As the release date for her comeback album Two/Eleven draws closer, Brandy has been opening up about its finer details and finally reconnecting with Monica.

14 years after their timeless “The Boy Is Mine” hit the airwaves Brandy and Monica got back in the lab and recorded “It All Belongs To Me,” with producer Rico Love at the helm.

“Monica and I have a bond as women and as mothers, working with her doesn’t feel like work,” the California based singer told Rolling Stone about her relationship with her fellow R&B songstress.

The musical talents of Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Danja, Timbaland, Chris Brown and Rodney Jerkins were brought in to help shape Two/Eleven‘s current but tradition R&B sound.

Having already worked with a bevy of hit makers on the LP the Grammy Award winning singer is also hoping to hook up with Drizzy Drake and his producer Noah “40” Shebib.

“I heard the song that Drake did and I loved it,” she says. “I haven’t recorded it yet but I’m looking forward to it because it’s such a great melody and the beat is nice.

“It’s a vibe that I haven’t dipped into and I think the fans would get a kick out of hearing my voice over a record like that. I’m not sure if Drake’s going to be on it but I’m a huge fan of his. His melodies are beautiful, I like the way I sound in the shower singing his songs.”

Talented songwriter Frank Ocean was also brought in to bring new life to Brandy’s classic sound. “He wrote a song called ‘Scared of Beautiful’ about women who are afraid to be beautiful in their full potential as women. I’ve been there before so I know a lot of women can relate.”
