Angel Haze takes on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Same Love” | New Music

Following her “Shabba” freestyle Angel Haze unveils what could well be her most honest and noteworthy 30 Gold series contribution, as this time she takes on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ “Same Love“.

The Michigan-hailing rhymer begins “Hi, Mom, I’m really scared right now, but, I have to..”  as she delivers her thoughts on prejudice based on sexual preference on this Mary Lambert-assisted track. Haze also touches on her own personal experiences, detailing a quite unnerving conversation with her mother and being shut off from the world in her younger years. A clear message of rebellious defiance is sent out by the rapper through this track as she makes it clear just where she stands on equality, ingrained attitudes and popular beliefs.

The series serves as a warm up to Angel Haze’s upcoming debut LP Dirty Gold set to be dropping in 2014.
