London hailing ska/dub band The Skints hit the studio to take on Katy B‘s 2010 debut single, “[Katy] On A Mission,” bringing their own mellow, reggae vibes to the Peckham born BRIT School-graduate’s UK hit from her On A Mission LP with a fresh live performance, premiered right here. Check it out below.

“We’re all pop music fans and obviously we like our sounds in a reggae-reggae style, so ‘On A Mission’ seemed like a fun tune to cut a Skints version of,” say the band. “Garage, dubstep, reggae, dub, whatever, is all music of the dancehall! We rate the Katy B tune, so hopefully the people appreciate the vibes on the this one.”
