Tawiah – “Starts Again” live performance [Video] | SoulCulture Exclusive

Having captured hearts around London playing the live circuit for several years before releasing indie EP In Jodi’s Bedroom – and globally touring with Mark Ronson fronting his touring band, The Version Players – soulful South London talent Tawiah returns to our ears with some fresh new music as she prepares to make her major label debut in 2012 with Warner Bros.

You know we’ve been fans for years, so we were particularly excited when Tawiah agreed to bless SoulCulture’s 2009 tribute EP to Aaliyah, Aaliyah Revisited, with an energetic flip of the late R&B singer’s 1998 single “Are You That Somebody”. The wait that followed for something new was starting to feel endless – until this month, when “Break Away” popped up. So it’s with great pleasure that today we present to you another brand new song from Tawiah, penned in her bedroom on her keyboard, titled “Starts Again.”

Working again with long-time collaborator Jodi Milliner, who can be seen playing guitar in the clip below and is also responsible for the track’s production [“It was a song I could only hear Jodi doing…”], Tawiah presents the live performance video for “Starts Again” – premiered exclusively on SoulCulture, and set to feature on her forthcoming debut LP.
