Earl Sweatshirt x Fader

The best thing about summer is the variety of free quality concerts held throughout major cities. At least, vitaminwater and The FADER do their part in providing affordable entertainment with their #uncapped events. If you're unfamiliar with #uncapped, it's basically a series of musical events "dedicated to making boring mondays more brilliant."

The first show kicked off Monday, July 15, in a transformed garage in New York's Lower East Side neighborhood with Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt as the performer and Hot 97's Miss Info as the host. As usual, the location of the event was not revealed until an hour before the doors opened. The fans were treated to the sounds of DJ Syd tha Kyd, a surprise performance by Vince Staples and a preview of new songs from Earl's upcoming debut, Doris.

Earl Sweatshirt f/ Casey Veggies & Vince Staples - "Hive" | Music Video

California's next generation connects on the small screen as Earl Sweatshirt, Casey Veggies and Vince Staples get together on Earl's visual for the single, "Hive."

The Odd Future member strolls along a dimly lit neighborhood street followed by a few masked friends on bikes. Think Tim Burton meets the suburbs meets Earl, Casey and Vince. Besides a few skeletal flamingoes and creepy painted faces, Casey and Vince stay safe from the madness in their own scenes.

"Hive" will be featured on Earl Sweatshirt's debut album, Doris, which is actually being released under his own label Tan Cressida, a part of Columbia Records. The pre-order link for Doris is already up on iTunes. Order it now and receive the album when it drops August 20.

Vince Staples x Larry Fisherman (aka Mac Miller) - Stolen Youth [Album] | Stream/Download

Los Angeles native and enigmatic rap star, Vince Staples, has dropped his much anticipated free album Stolen Youth which has been entirely produced by Mac Miller's well known alter ego, Larry Fisherman.

The duo have teamed up to deliver an impressive ten-track project, which includes features from the likes of Black Hippy's Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul, as well as Mac Miller [as Mac Miller and not Larry Fisherman this time] and Joey Fatts. Speaking of Mac's input on his EP, Vince explained that the two artists worked together because Mac was willing to put the effort in.

"He had the bangers at that point in time and he was willing to work. Mac is a real music nigga, actually, it’s funny. He studies it..." he told The Fader.
