Kanye West - "White Dress" (Alternate Version) | New Music

Method Man f/ Freddie Gibbs x Streetlife - "Built For This" | New Music

Method Man has a habit of leaving his fans in waiting for new albums. It's been six (long) years since his last solo effort, 4:21... The Day After, and... it looks like that number is going to get bigger. Releasing his first piece of audio in some months, Johhny Blaze isn't testing the waters for his long-awaited fifth album, Crystal Meth; instead he scores a cut for his Wu Gambino RZA's directorial debut, The Man with the Iron Fists.

Entitled "Built For This", the track sees Meth team up with Streetlife once again, and forge a new partnership with gangsta rapper, Freddie Gibbs. The combination makes for a lethal one - fitting for any martial arts film soundtrack.

Stream "Built For This" below, and be on the lookout for The Man with the Iron Fists to hit theatres on November 2nd. Let's hope Method Man carries over this passion to his next record.

Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa + more to feature on RZA's 'The Man With The Iron Fists' soundtrack | Music News

As if the cast for his upcoming Kung Fu film, The Man With The Iron Fists, wasn't A-List already (Russell Crowe and Lucy Lui feature, while Eli Roth co-writes), RZA has recruited some big names for the accompanying soundtrack, too. In a recent interview with WIRED, the Wu-Tang chief, who wrote and directed the flick, revealed a number of the acts to feature on the eclectic soundtrack, listing off Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, The Black Keys, My Chemical Romance and more.

"It’s very diverse. You have music from Black Keys, music from Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, My Chemical Romance, rock and roll guys, as well as Sally Yeh, who does John Woo movies, a famous Chinese singer," he said. "And then we’ve got my buddy Howard Drossin, he’s a trained musician, trained composer and we wrote a lot of different cues."

Not only being graced with original music from these top names, but the soundtrack will also contain Wu-Tang Clan cuts, handed over by Sony, which RZA will re-orchestrate.

"One thing I think we did that was so cool for me was we went and got some of Wu-Tang’s original songs, the masters, Sony gave them to us to you, and we took out a lot of stuff that was in it and re-orchestrated it," he detailed. "You’re going to have a great time listening to this movie as a soundtrack."

The Man With The Iron Fists hits theatres November 2nd. Click here to watch the film trailer, and enjoy RZA's interview below.

RZA - 'Blowin In The Wind' | New Music

It's been a minute since we've heard from Bobby Digital (he has been writing, directing and starring in the upcoming martial arts film, The Man with the Iron Fists, so we'll let him off), but RZA returned yesterday with a new track for his Wu-Wednesdays series. Clearly still in his movie zone, "Blowin In The Wind", takes a very cinematic approach as the Wu-Tang head applies his familiar slurred vocals to some brassy, climatic production.Read more
