Chase N. Cashe - 'Verde' [Instrumental Album] | Free Download

An independent through-and-through, New Orleans-hailing artist Chase N. Cashe has upped his stock in this game we call hip-hop over the past year or so with two solo mixtapes, Gumbeaux and The Heir Up There, which warranted a DJ Drama co-sign. But best known as a beatsmith first and foremost, the Surf Club rep (alongside his storming counterpart Hit-Boy, who's also been putting mic skills to the test) has notched credits for some of rap's biggest stars in Drake, Lil Wayne and EminemRead more

Kanye West f/ DJ Khaled x DJ Pharris - "Theraflu" (No Tags) | New Music

Kanye West's "Theraflu" just got a little more monstrous today with the CDQ, tag-less version of the track hitting the net. There was some confusion early on regarding who the song was for and even the features themselves (I guess a DJ's rant counts as a guest appearance these days), but the record's producer Hit-Boy helped cleared the air.

In an interview with MTV, the Surf Club beatsmith revealed that "Theraflu" was originally intended for DJ Khaled, until he passed the audio onto Kanye who deemed it an "urgent record" and subsequently completed the track himself. While the G.O.O.D. Music takeover is in effect with the release of "Mercy", "Theraflu" looks to land on Mr. West's next debut album instead.

Chase N. Cashe f/ Skeme – "Black Paisley" | New Music

After supplying substance for your sub woofer last week with the stomping "This & That", the Surf Club's Chase N. Cashe cuts the ribbon for yet more new music, this time with a helping hand from California newcomer Skeme.

"Black Paisley"'s funky, choppy instrumental and gutta lyrics (a la Nipsey Hussle or Glasses Malone) induces the very image of riding in a six fo' down Crenshaw and points all fingers towards the Left Coast. Even the bandana-coated cover art screams palm trees and OG Kush.

Having rode shotgun on Drake's tour, locked down a spot on XXL's Show & Prove segment and now prepping for his performance at SXSW tomorrow night, the N'awlins native Chase N. Cashe is far from short of a few power moves. No doubt the good music will arrive in its abundance, too.
