Neon Hitch - "On My Level" (Wiz Khalifa cover) | Music Video

British singer/songwriter Neon Hitch who has written for the likes of Ke$ha and opened for 50 Cent is currently working on her debut Beg, Borrow and Steal. She does, however, clearly have time to put her spin on Wiz Khalifa's "On My Level" off the recent Rolling Papers.

Strolling through Chinatown in the visuals for the track, Neon Hitch definitely makes it her own. Guess Karmin had better come up with another profession. My only criticism? It isn't long enough.

Check it out for yourselves;

Wiz Khalifa interviewed by Ski Beatz in London | SoulCulture.TV

Pittsburgh rap star Wiz Khalifa and legendary Hip Hop producer Ski Beatz crossed paths in London this week and caught up at the K West hotel for a chat, captured by SoulCulture TV, discussing how they first met and came to work together on “Scaling The Building” with Curren$y, from Ski’s 2010 album 24 Hour Karate School.

“It’s like Jay-Z - When I first met Jigga then the whole wave started happening, the next thing you know he’s ‘Jay-Z.’ Now I’m looking at this kid like ‘Ok, it’s Wiz,’ but now it’s Wiz Khalifa," Ski Beatz reflects, before going on to quiz Wiz about how he feels he has grown musically across his three albums to date, dealing with internet hate/criticism, whether his tree-filled lyrics encourage his listeners to smoke weed and what impact his need to "re-create and stay brand new' has on his fanbase.

Wiz Khalifa @ HMV Forum, London (May 18) | Gig Review

Every year we have at least one rapper to emerge whose wit, talent, charm and drive steals the limelight and shoots an underground favorite to mainstream superstardom almost immediately. In 2009, we saw Drake woo the panties off the ladies, 2010 was J. Cole’s turn to ‘Hit It In The Morning’ - and now for 2011, this career ascension story belongs to the Pittsburgh-based rapper Wiz Khalifa.

In the wake of his chart-topping hit 'Black and Yellow' [which was adopted by fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers during the team's run to the Super Bowl] comes his major label debut Rolling Papers, a solid collection of ear-bending rhymes and addictive beats and melodies.

But does the album live up to the considerable hype surrounding Khalifa's arrival? I believe all signs point to yes. The Pittsburgh emcee's debut on Atlantic is lyrically revolved around ‘getting high’, frolicking with the ‘chicks’, ‘blowing money fast’ and pretty much enjoying a good life, yet in every track Wiz attacks the beat with an underdog's passion and a winner's stance - which he exhibited onstage in London at his second UK show on May 18 at the HMV Forum, Kentish Town.
