The legendary Prince today unveils the official music video for his latest single "Breakfast Can Wait".
After getting the web buzzing with the single artwork (pictured above), which features an image of the Purple Yoda played by Dave Chappelle, the pop icon shares the official visual accompaniment for the track directed by 18-year old Danielle Curiel who also features in the video alongside a set of dancers and actors. "Extraloveable" was originally recorded in the early eighties and was available in a bootleg format till 2011 when the Purple Yoda released it a newly recorded version titled "Extraloveable 2011", but today the multi-award winning musical icon took to his 3rdEyeGirl site to bring us "Extraloveable Reloaded" this extra groovy funked up version of the track titled "Extraloveable Reloaded". Following the unveiling at the Billboard Awards and it's release on iTunes, the official visual accompaniment to "Fixurlifeup", the debut music video from Prince's new band 3RDEYEGIRL has arrived.
The Sanaa Hamri-directed visual, which was filmed in San Diego during the band's Live Out Loud tour, is comprised of a combination of performance visuals, typography and some narrative parts. Give it a watch or two.

Prince premiers new track "Fix Ur Life Up" @ Billboard Music Awards 2013 | TV Catch-Up

The legend that is Prince premiered a brand new record "Fix Ur Life Up" at the Billboard Music Awards last night. The Award show was held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and Erykah Badu and Janelle Monae presented the iconic musician with the BillBoard Icon Award.

Sporting a fresh afro, the Purple Yoda closed the Ceremony alongside his all female band 3rd Eye Girl. The 54 year old singer kicked off his set with his 1984 hit "Let's Go Crazy" before transitioning into the new track.

Prince debuts new song "FixUrLifeUp," announces tourdates | New Music

Prince confirmed to perform at SXSW + unveils "Plectrum Electrum" with 3rd Eye Girl video


Referred to as an extremely short film, Minneapolis-based photographer Madison Dube has uploaded a two and a half minute video of Prince rehearsing with his new all girl band 3rd Eye Girl at his famous Paisley Park Studios.

With not much to go on with regards to what the rehearsal is for; some say it's for his upcoming SXSW closing party show, even the track's title is not fully known. The title 'Plectrum Electrum' is being thrown about but it is unsure if it's actually the instrumental's title or if it means something else.

Samsung will be sponsoring Prince's first ever SXSW performance this coming saturday. The performance will only house 250 audience members and there are only two ways to obtain tickets. The first is for Samsung Galaxy owners in Austin for SXSW to click here for details about the Samsung Galaxy Experience. The second way is through a ticket drawing for SXSW Platinum and Music badge holders. To determine which SXSW Badge holders will be admitted, SXSW will conduct a ticket drawing, which will grant entry for Platinum and Music Badge Holders only.
