Drake unveils 'Nothing Was The Same' trailer [Video]

Screen Shot 2013-09-10 at 2.39.49 PM

As September 24th rolls around the corner, Drake has been releasing tracklists, songs and now, the official trailer for his highly anticipated album, Nothing Was The Same.

The 30-second trailer, backed by a royal beat provided by Hit-Boy, begins with a line of high-end luxury cars (I'm taking Rolls Royce, etc.) all parading around with Canadian flags attached to the hoods. We can only assume Drake is at the head of the lavish line. The auto footage cuts off to the regular and deluxe album covers, pictured above. I'm sure Drizzy has more to share in the next two weeks before his album drops. And as usual, we'll be sharing it with you!

Stay tuned.

Snapshot: Drake covers Billboard magazine

September is shaping up to be October's Very Own's Aubrey "Drake" Graham's month. With a third studio album on its way to the new music section of stores everywhere, Drake continues the Nothing Was The Same promo by gracing the cover of an upcoming issue of Billboard magazine.

Billboard's instagram feed hit us with a faux #throwbackthursday pic, which really was a sneak peek of the issue for the week of September 7th.

We'll be getting more news on what the Drake feature includes soon. Shout out to Billboard's Erika on helping choose a happy picture of the Canadian rapper. "Smiling Drake is the best Drake!" I completely agree.

Nothing Was The Same out September 24.

Drake's 'Nothing Was The Same' to feature collaborations w/ JAY Z, Lil Wayne + Hudson Mohawke | News

Rolling Stone hits us with a subtle revelation about the collaborations on Drake's upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same.

While listing NWTS as part of the 26 albums that are a must listen for the Fall, the magazine mentioned that the project will have features from JAY Z and Lil Wayne. No surprise there. Hov collaborated with Drake for his debut, Thank Me Later, back in 2010 and Weezy, well he's the Young Money ring leader and Drake is a Young Money soldier. Another person mentioned in the NWTS description is G.O.O.D. Music producer Hudson Mohawke, who has production credits in Cruel Summer.

We know little about the tracklist besides the singles we've heard but apparently we're in for an emotional treat. The Toronto rapper highlights one song, "Connect," calling it "painful and beautiful at the same time."

Nothing Was The Same will be released September 17.

Drake receives 'Best Rap Album' GRAMMY award x proceeds to drink from it with OVO team

drake shots grammy
Back in February Drake was awarded the 'Best Rap Album' Grammy for his sophomore LP Take Care and now that the prestigious gong has finally made its way to the Canadian star, he celebrated its arrival by filling the Grammy with liquor (in a similar fashion to JAY Z) and encouraging his crew to drink shots out of it with him.

Coincidentally wearing a T-shirt with 'Take Care' written on it, Drizzy swiftly pours alcohol into his newly received award and after having a couple of shots himself, he then passes the Grammy around the room so that everyone else can have a turn, including his close friend and go-to producer, Noah "40" Shebib. The YMCMB rapper also reveals in the footage that he plans to keep his Grammy at his mum's house, before taking a quick snap of it to send to her.

No doubt he will be aiming to have the same success with his upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same, which he recently announced will be released on 17 September.
