Vado - "The Awards" (prod. by AraabMuzik) | New Music

Award ceremonies don't care about Vado, and Vado doesn't care for award ceremonies.

On new track "The Awards", the third leak from his forthcoming Slime Flu 3 tape, the Harlem representative and Dipset associate makes it quite clear that, unlike other rappers, he'll always puts the streets over the Red Carpet. With crystal clear rhymes and provocative delivery over AraabMuzik's heavy kicks and anguished synths, he raps..

"While y'all was at the BET Awards, I was cookin' up fire, high heatin' up the raw / they talk fly but wasn't speaking up before / red carpet, suit, ties, sneaker strings is on the floor..."

Whilst he'll always sounds better with Cam'ron dropping ignorant bars by his side, this is proof Vado still knows how to cook up those raw NYC anthems. Listen below:

Big K.R.I.T. f/ Slim Thug - "Now And Then" | New Music

With his combination of Southern soul, slick, heartfelt raps and nostalgic production, Mississippi's Big K.R.I.T. is one of those rappers we're always checking for here at SoulCulture.

The Meridian emcee's latest track, "Now And Then" reminds us why he's so good. A self-produced cut, made for DJ Wally Sparks, TSS and SPSKMEN's SPKSMEN Vol.1., it oozes syrupy Southern goodness, and also offers listeners the chance to hear Krizzle trade bars with a legend of the game, Houston veteran Slim Thug. Both go in as we'd expect them to, and to be honest, I could keep on waxing lyrical about the result but I'd rather you just scrolled down and had a listen for yourself:

Look out for SPKSMEN Vol.1 when it drops December 10th. Have a listen to the previous release, Smoke DZA's "BCE Freestyle", here.
