NEW MUSIC: The Revelations ft. Tre Williams - "How Do I Tell Him" (VIDEO)

Revelations_group_shotNas affiliate Tre Williams is "back" [technically, he never came out, aside from some mixtapes...] with his band The Revelations.

Who knows what happened to the Tre Williams album that was meant to drop on Ill Will Records in '07 (The Depth Of My Soul) but here he is with The Revelations and an album set for release next month.

We're told, "Here, there are no teenage whines, no auto tune, no samples: nothing but pure, unadulterated soul sung by a red dirt artist with the vocal chops of yesterday’s soul legends and played by a band with passion and talent. The Revelations featuring Tré Williams represents a renewed dawning in soul music..."

Their new single "How Do I Tell Him" features Williams' rich, gravelly vocals; check out the video below - directed by Dan The Man.

The Revelations' debut album The Bleeding Edge hits stores October 6th via Decision Records/Traffic Entertainment.

Deep Soul EP is available now.

We interviewed Amanda Diva earlier this year to discuss her free EP, Spandex, Rhymes & Soul (click to download).

Take a look below at her latest music video from the EP for "Neon," featuring Johnny Polygon, directed by Lyn-don McCray:

NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR VAN HUNT - "AT THE END OF A SLOW DANCE"

vanMany thanks to W Ellington Felton for letting us know about Van Hunt's new video for "At The End Of A Slow Dance" (from his On The Jungle Floor album).

I'm not sure if it's an official music video or what.. It doesn't seem conceptual, just an opportunity to see Van at home on stage, doing what he does best. Check it:

#TUESDAY TOP 5: VIDEOS - Giggs, Young Money, Jason Lewis, MJ + Janet Jackson

My top 5 videos of the month include an ode to hair weave, an unexpected gem to a serious guilty pleasure and some Jacksons love.

Giggs – Slow Songs

I never thought “I like” and “Giggs” would ever reside in the same sentence without a negative linking it together, but I REALLY like! While not overwhelmed by the song itself, I like the lyrics and I'm glad Giggs has shown that he can be thought-provoking and articulate. Plus it's nice to hear The Streets sounding like The Streets again. Most important is the video; I love it, if I'd heard the song prior to seeing the video I doubt it would have had much of an impact on me. Gritty and cinematic, it compliments the tune perfectly.
