Hip Hop artist Kendrick Lamar and his record label Top Dawg Ent decided to document footage they took of a recent show at Key Club, in Los Angeles, during which Big Sean, J.Cole and legends DJ Quik and Dr. Dre amongst others came through to show support for the West Coast bred MC, who is rumored to have worked on Dr. Dre's highly anticipated Detox album. Def Jam Cipher Sessions: The West Coast Edition [Videos]

Following on from The Southern Editions, legendary Hip Hop label Def Jam, it's Vice President of A&R, Sha Money XL and Karmaloop TV have now liberated footage from the recent West Coast Edition of the Def Jam Cipher Sessions series.

The event which took place on January 27th featured Kendrick Lamar, FashawnTiRon, DizGibran, H.O.P.E, Skeme, YG, Chace Infinite and El Prez.

XXL magazine have now unveiled the cover stars of their anticipated fourth annual Freshmen issue highlighting an emerging class of Hip Hop talent: comprising of Meek Mill, Big K.R.I.T., CyHi Da Prynce, Lil’ Twist, Yelawolf, Fred The Godson, Mac Miller, YG, Lil’ B, Kendrick Lamar and Diggy Simmons for their 2011 edition.
