Rhian Benson ft. T3 x Illa J - "Better Without You" (Slum Village Remix) | Free DL

SoulCulture are pleased to exclusively present the official remix for Rhian Benson's first new single from her sophomore album, Hands Clean; the long awaited follow-up to her 2003 debut LP, Gold Goast [which featured "Say How I Feel" with a rather delicious Tyson Beckford in the video...but I digress...]

"I’ve been away from the public eye for a while but never away from my music," Rhian says, "and after a few years in the making, the new album is finally ready to be released early next year."

Due for release in February 2011, Hands Clean is described as 'a refreshing departure from Rhian’s previous work'. This time around the UK-based Ghanaian singer/songwriter's sultry vibes are teamed with a collection of pulsating electronic grooves brought to the table by Danish rising star production duo, Daniel Fridell and Jonas Rendbo.

Take a listen to the official Slum Village remix of Ms Benson's new single "Better Without You", featuring Detroit emcees T3 and Illa J with Young RJ on production - and grab your free download below.

With the release of The Yancey Boys, Illa J exhibits his vocal and lyrical agility over unreleased J Dilla beats. Whilst over in London last month, SoulCulture spoke to Illa J about being a new artist, adlibbing to Al Green and why he's not trying to be another J Dilla.Read more
