Travi$ Scott : Get Familiar

Back in the early/mid 2000s, Houston's rap scene gave us the likes of Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Slim Thug and Chamillionaire, who came from the Swishahouse movement. Highly touted newcomer Travi$ Scott is stylistically way different to the Swishahouse boys, instead bearing a flow similar flow to MMG's Wale paired with an audiovisual skillset reminiscent of the great Kanye West; also producing and directing. B.o.B announces new mixtape [Video]

Earlier this week, B.o.B shared details on both his third solo album - which is coming "sooner than you think" - and a collaborative project with his Grand Hustle boss T.I., entitled The Man & The Martian, but the Strange Clouds rapper/singer looks to have another treat in store for his fans.

In a recent interview with Las Vegas DJ Bootleg Kev, Bobby Ray announced a new mixtape. He didn't elaborate much on the project, but he did promise that it'll arrive before the end of the year. I guess Bobby wasn't lying when he said he's "recording like Tupac right now."

You can watch the nearly-10 minute interview in full below, in which the rapper also spoke on his efforts to please his "core" fanbase, transitioning from a blog favourtite to a mainstream artist, producing his own music, and more.

B.o.B. f/ Nicki Minaj - "Out of My Mind" | Music Video

It's approaching four months since B.o.B.'s sophomore album, Strange Clouds, hit stores, but today, the Grand Hustle rapping/singing hybrid delivers the official music video for his Nicki Minaj-assisted favourite, "Out of My Mind". Famed director Benny Boom (Waka Flocka Flame "Hard In Da Paint", Nicki Minaj "Beez In The Trap", Keyshia Cole "Enough of No Love") steers this visual piece, and runs with a fitting theme of craziness, Gattika-style.Read more

T.I. talks collaborations with A$AP Rocky + André 3000 on 'Trouble Man' | Music News

T.I. made an unwelcome announcement earlier this month when he delayed the release of his already long-overdue eighth studio album, Trouble Man. The record was previously scheduled to arrive on September 4th, but a new timescale hasn't been announced.

Fans have already been treated to three stellar singles - "Like That", "Love This Life" and "Go Get It" - from the forthcoming project, but it sounds like there are plenty more on the way. In a recent interview with Rap-Up, the Grand Hustle boss spoke on his numerous collaborations on the LP, including one with A$AP Rocky.

"That record is called 'Wildside.' No I.D. did it and I’m basically just narrating my childhood and what I come from and giving people some insight into why I am the way I am and why some of the things that happen to me only happen to me and they wouldn’t happen to anyone else ’cause they’re specific in my upbringing."

Tip went on to share his two cents on Rocky and his Always Strive and Prosper movement, and showered him with praise.

"I think he’s dope. I think he’s very creative. I think he’s got an enormous amount of potential and opportunity. His next couple moves are going to determine the level of success of his debut," he said.

In addition to working with the new generation, T.I. will also share the mic with some of hip-hop's - specifially the South's - veterans. Confirming the rumours, famed OutKast emcee André 3000 will guest on the record. He detailed the direction of their collaboration, entitled "Sorry".

"The André 3000 record is entitled 'Sorry' [produced by Jazze Pha]. It’s just more narration of life and the reasons why I should not be sorry for anything that I’ve endured, for anything that I’ve gone through, and the reason why I don’t owe motherfuckers any apologies," he said. "I’ve come all this way from zero. I ain’t got no reason to say sorry to anybody. It’s probably one of the most creative records I’ve done in a long time."

In the discussion, T.I. said it is "60-70%" likely that Trouble Man will be released before the end of the year.

Iggy Azalea - 'Burgundy Shit' | New Music

Just in case the recent T.I., B.o.B., Pusha T and Mike Posner-boasting Glory EP didn't quite quench your thirst for Australian (see: faux Southern) hip-hop, Iggy Azalea digs into the crates and liberates this previously-unheard track, "Burgundy Shit". The smooth and sexy piano-driven number is produced by D.R.U.G.S. (who also crafted her 2011 breakout hit, "Pu$$y") and, as Iggy tells us herself, was recorded some time ago.Read more
