Tyler, The Creator, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis + Earl Sweatshirt - "Look" | New Music

This year has seen Odd Future releases from Tyler,The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, The Internet and Hodgy Beats.
Keeping momentum going, Tyler, Earl, Hodgy and Domo Genesis deliver a brand new cut titled "Look".
Produced by Nottz, this 4:22 minute freebie isn't attached to a particular project but this could hint to another Odd Future collaborative album in the works. (I wonder what the current status of Frank Ocean's channel Orange follow-up is). Listen and download "Look" below.

Hip-Hop Roundup: Charts, Control, Pusha Teasers & Shady's Berzerk

The VMA aftermath was quite a messy one, but after the empty cups have been swept up and I've seen enough Miley Cyrus GIFS to question my existence, it's time for us to get back to some real music.

Last week was full of hits, releases and news in Hip-Hop and if like Kanye you were out performing for the Kazakhstan President, you might not have had time to keep up. If your excuse isn't quite as grandeur (maybe it was only the head of Belarus), don't worry, we won't judge, we are however on hand to help as we stack up the top 5 moments in Hip-Hop of the week gone by. Captain Murphy, Earl Sweatshirt, DOOM & Thundercat – "Between Villains" | New Music

Captain Murphy (FlyLo's rapping alter ego) today drops off his contribution to the Adult Swim Singles Series in the form of "Between Villains" in which he brings along some pretty formidable friends.

With Flying Lotus inviting DOOM, Earl Sweatshirt & Thundercat, "Between Villains" takes an understandably dark turn through a frightful alleyway of menacing baselines and ghoulish piano keys.

With 10 of 15 tracks down, The Adult Swim Singles Series is unfortunately approaching its conclusion, but check out the Soundcloud stream below for the previous tracks and be sure to keep an ear out for the last 5.

Free, amazing music people, enjoy.

Earl Sweatshirt f/ Frank Ocean - "Sunday" | New Music

Not gonna lie. I'm super excited and curious to hear Earl Sweatshirt's debut album, Doris and that feeling has greatly multiplied with this latest release, "Sunday," on which Earl brings fellow Odd Future member Frank Ocean along for the ride. While you might be expecting some sweet vocals from the singer, Frank Ocean actually contributes with a rap verse and a very specific Sunday reference.

"I mean he called me a f**got, I was just calling his bluff. I mean how anal am I gonna be when I'm aiming my gun. And why's his mug all bloody that was a 3 on 1. Standing ovation at Staples, I got my Grammy's and gold," says Frank on the mic. If that sounds familiar, then you might remember a certain Chris Brown altercation which ironically also happened on a Sunday.

Expect to hear more from the honest mind of Earl Sweatshirt when Doris drops August 20 but for now, stream "Sunday" below.

Earl Sweatshirt x Vince Staples perform "Hive" at vitaminwater x The FADER uncapped [Video]

Earl Sweatshirt x Fader

The best thing about summer is the variety of free quality concerts held throughout major cities. At least, vitaminwater and The FADER do their part in providing affordable entertainment with their #uncapped events. If you're unfamiliar with #uncapped, it's basically a series of musical events "dedicated to making boring mondays more brilliant."

The first show kicked off Monday, July 15, in a transformed garage in New York's Lower East Side neighborhood with Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt as the performer and Hot 97's Miss Info as the host. As usual, the location of the event was not revealed until an hour before the doors opened. The fans were treated to the sounds of DJ Syd tha Kyd, a surprise performance by Vince Staples and a preview of new songs from Earl's upcoming debut, Doris.

Watch Earl Sweatshirt and Vince Staples perform "Hive" below, along with a few pictures from the night.

Earl Sweatshirt f/ Casey Veggies & Vince Staples - "Hive" | Music Video

California's next generation connects on the small screen as Earl Sweatshirt, Casey Veggies and Vince Staples get together on Earl's visual for the single, "Hive."

The Odd Future member strolls along a dimly lit neighborhood street followed by a few masked friends on bikes. Think Tim Burton meets the suburbs meets Earl, Casey and Vince. Besides a few skeletal flamingoes and creepy painted faces, Casey and Vince stay safe from the madness in their own scenes.

"Hive" will be featured on Earl Sweatshirt's debut album, Doris, which is actually being released under his own label Tan Cressida, a part of Columbia Records. The pre-order link for Doris is already up on iTunes. Order it now and receive the album when it drops August 20.
